Whos actually goin to be camping outside the venue the night before the show??
Id love to be at the front for the gig, so my paranoia thinks thats the best way to secure a place...but just the one night hmm??

HAhaha, yeah, do not even consider camping in brixton...baaaaaad idea!
I have to say tho, no matter howmuch I love frank and pixies, I find i dont really enjoy gigs as much when imbeing crushed and groped...I was at the front for vast majority of SY, and yeah, it has its benefits, but i think ill stick to my usual spot at brixton, on the right hand sideof the stage, on the little balcony bits. Any of you steal my place, ill kill ya!

its easy to get to the front at brixton.
did so for kraftwerk & blur in the last few months - all sold out gigs.
this is why events unerve me |

welll I'm putting it here, but Wayahead.com are selling tickets for the Wednesday and Thursday Brixton shows... maybe they got tickets back from touts... |

Anyhow, I've never had a problem with getting to the front of any gig and I usually turn up after the support - it's all about your pushing technique ;)

Definetly not. As mentioned by others, Brixton is a good venue, its like a footy terrace. You can see from everywhere, and there are bits at the side where you can get an even better view, but the sound isn't as good from there. If you've seen the Brixton '91 video, some of the shots are taken from there, I was standing next to the camera for a bit! I'm pretty confident you'll be able to go where you want within reason, the footy terrace bars tend to break the crowd up a bit. |

A word of advice. DO NOT CAMP IN BRIXTON.
Just get their early, it's quite a big venue and it has slopping floors so it's not difficult to see the stage. |

You won't need to camp!!!
What a crazy idea.
Once the moshing starts, it's easy to get to the front. I manage it at every single gig I go to.
If all else fails, you could always crowdsurf to the front.
By all means camp, but you won't need to so you'll be wasting your time really.
