I decided to make this it's own topic. I felt it was getting lost in the other topic. I wanted to make sure everyone who was coming to Winnipeg was aware of this opportunity.
I have created a website where you can sign up to be on the guest list for the King's Head Pub on the night of the Pixies concert in Winnipeg. I have never created a website before, so I hope it all works smoothly.
The idea is simple. You add your name to the guestbook and the day of the concert I will take the list to the King's Head. When you arrive at the King's Head for the Pre or Post show gathering all you have to do is tell them that you are on the list as my guest and they will let you in without having to pay for a membership.
I hope this idea works for everyone. It seemed to me to be the easiest way to accomplish this.

A reminder to those with extra tickets for the Winnipeg show that there will be people at the King's Head looking to buy tickets. So if you got em, bring em.

Just emailed the guest list to the owner of the King's Head. If you did not get your name on the list but would still like to be on it, just add your name and I will take it with me tomorrow and add it at the pub. I plan on arriving there at around 5:30.

That's quite interesting.. I wonder if they are balcony seats or floor seats. Any suggestions of what time I should drop by the theatre to see if new tickets are selling? |

If all that makes you want to see their sold-out show, you might be in luck: A few dozen extra seats are slated to go on sale at the Burton Cummings Theatre shortly before showtime tomorrow. |

Holy crap,
My Guestlist was full, I had to archive all the submissions and restart it. You can still view the list if you click on the archive link. I will submit the list this evening for any of you last minute sign up people. I also took the liberty of adding four special guests to the list in case they decide to show up.

I will be emailing the list to the owner tomorrow. Keep in mind that there will be plenty of other Pixies fans there who already have memberships, or have other friends with memberships. I have also told a few friends looking for tickets to come to the preshow party as I have been hearing some chatter about extra tickets floating around.

Thought I should update since gunner is kind of busy (something to do with a new baby (ie:future Pixie fan)).

As long as you have a membership, you can sign in as many people as you like. I just put up the site so that our out of town guests, and those that don't know members, can sign in without having to actually walk through the door with me or another member.

If you've lost all these links that are going around regarding the reunion tour, I have added them to my site. I just had a meeting with the owner of the King's Head. I told her about our sign up list for the pre and post show parties and she was cool with that. I will be emailing her the list on the 13th, so you need to be signed up by then if you want in without buying a membership. She said that they can reserve a bunch of tables for us for before the show and that after the show they will have the upstairs part of the pub opened up so that we can spread out and party all night.....actually until closing, which is 2am. To quote Flounder from "Animal House"...."this is going to be great.."

There are advantages for the Pub to be licensed as members only. Lifetime membership is $5.00 and with a membership you can sign in as many guests as you like.

Just checked the site, we have 13 people on the list so far. If you are coming in from out of town and want to be where the action is before and after the concert, sign up. If you're from Winnipeg and want to check out the King's Head, but don't have a membership yet, sign up.

As a former Winnipeg resident, I would kill to be at the Kings Head at any time, but being there for a pre and post show drink would be great! If you have never been, or if this is your first visit to Winnipeg, I can not stress enough, how great the Kings Head is!
It is the first place I go when I come home, and will remain that way. So if you do go, Say hi to Glenn and Francis for me, have a pint and enjoy!

This idea was given to me by the people at the King's Head. Once I get an idea of how many people are interested, I'll give the owner a call. I'll probably do this next week (spring break). If there are enough people signed up, they'll open up the upstair part of the pub and we'll make a real party of it. |

This is a great way to help a lot of people out -- while at the same time dramatically increasing the sales of the King's Head Pub.
So you have already spoken to the King's Head about this? We just say we are on the list as a guest of Ken Gordon, and they let us in?
