Yeah I know thanks. I will be on the phone and internet 'til I get some.

If you go to Glasto without your girlfriend, I will have to keep an eye on you. While the cats away and all that.

oh so glaston is a possibility still? i understand they are allowed to play T because it's in scotland, the agreement was no other *english* festival (ie glastonbury or leeds/reading)... i may be tempted to go to glaston too, as my gf is going anyway, if they are playing. tickets onsale thursday at 8pm by the way.

Anyone been to V in Weston Park before? Will I be able to see the Pixies and then get a buss to stafford station for the 11:38 train back to Manchester??? I can't stay for sunday and risk seeing Dido

Whereabouts in Manchester are you from?

They already are, they're playing T In The Park. That was booked before V.

Gutted they aren't playing Glasto or Readin though. I knew they wouldn't be playing Reading 'cos they wouldn't be in the country then, but I really thought they might do Glasto. Oh well, Brixton is the one anyway.

Maybe I was wrong after all mishkabunny. I noticed that the tour dates posted on the news page have a free day on Glastonbury sunday and then I found this

http://www.gorge.org/glastonbury/

which says Radio 6 (I think this must be BBC Six Music) confirm Pixies to play Glastonbury!

you may well struggle, if there are buses to stafford station at that time, excellent, but it will be a dash.

The organiser of V2004 said on 6 music that they had an exclusive deal with the Pixies as their only english festival,so no chance of Glastonbury.

Definitely no Glastonbury? Are you sure?
bumblebeeboy2 Posted - 03/17/2004 : 17:37:34

Maaaaybe the Pixies could play Glastonbury for hardly anything and then donate that to charity...

A gap in their schedule???
To quote ihatetouts from the "Anyone know of a list of all live dates for 2004?" thread
"They are playing the Hurricane and Southside festivals in Germany on Glastonbury weekend, so im not so sure they'll be playing glasto. Besides, Glastonbury pays bands peanuts *compared* to other festivals like Reading or V. The Darkness recieved £75 last year. What a waste of money, i say!

I think V is much more likely. I heard V payed Coldplay £1.4Million to do last years event. In 2002, Glastonbury had them headline for a measly (!) £100,000. Which they then donated to charity!"
benji Posted - 03/15/2004 : 08:48:04
well from what he said about the $$$$$$ that European festivals shell out, it's likely.

isn't the lineup for V being announced tommorrow?

They've not confirmed V2004 yet have they? That one seemed unlikely to me as they should have packed up and gone back to the US 6 weeks beforehand. I hope I'm wrong. And as for Glasters - nearly as hard to get tickets for that as for the Brixton gigs...
