Posted - 03/08/2004 : 08:42:14 well continuing on - i just got another email saying that she has checked it all out and that NO tickets have been printed from Brixton yet, but she is quite concerned about it all apparently and is continuing the investigation.
i have yet to confront the seller with this information, but i am quite looking forward to asking him a few pointed questions.
i don't expect anything to come of this, but it'll be interesting to see actually what brixton do......

Posted - 03/08/2004 : 08:06:21 well i emailed brixton and got a reply from the assisstant general manager saying that they will definitely investigate it.
it's a good sign, but i'm not too optimistic, especially now that the auction has ended.

Posted - 03/08/2004 : 05:57:04 there is now another ebay seller saying that they have the tickets in hand. i asked him to confirm and he did, but he didn't say how he got them.
no need to guess there....
i never did get round to sending the email to brixton, but i think i will right now with a slight amendment.

Posted - 03/04/2004 : 09:05:59 Hah, I have ordered 4 lots of tickets to gigs so far (on the internet) and each time I have got an email appologising for the "delay." It's so normal I dunno why they just don't make people more aware of it so they don't have to send those emails. |

Posted - 03/03/2004 : 12:31:34 Well, I received this email from Wayahead today. Not sure if this is an indication on how close tickets are to being released.
quote:
Dear MR BISHOP,
We apologise for the delay in despatching your tickets for your recent order. You booked 4 tickets for PIXIES on FRIDAY 04/06/2004 made on 11/02/2004. Your reference number for this order is XXXXXX. We are waiting for the tickets to come into stock from the promotion company. The tickets will be despatched as soon as we receive them.
Many thanks, The Way Ahead Box Office

Posted - 03/03/2004 : 09:45:17 They don't print or recieve them for a while. At least that's what they say. check out the website's FAQ, or track your order if you can. It's the same for all gigs really. |

Posted - 03/03/2004 : 02:18:45 Benji, you should just do it ! I'm so disgusted by these ebay&co. £150 tickets !
... And I'm looking desperately for two tickets for Brixton, any date ...
Are you gonna go there to try to get any ticket from one of those ugly twats before the gig, if you haven't managed to get hold of one before ? |

Posted - 03/03/2004 : 02:11:19 My experience is that hte tickets only arrive very close (ie 2 to 3 weeks) before the gig. |

Posted - 03/03/2004 : 01:14:42 i only know of 1 person who has got their tickets by now, thats thats a person who is selling them on ebay after getting them from a friend who works at the "academy"
i'm very seriously considering letting the "academy" know that one of their employees is supplying touts with tickets.
