I bought Tom Waits tickets from this place in '99 and they were totally cool. As a last resort, Preferred Seating is pretty damn good. The price is going down from this morning, too. The Freeborn tickets were $325.00 at 10:30.

Posted - 03/02/2004 : 06:33:57 Noah- My aggression wasn't directed at you, just at the stupidness of the situation After all, I don't like feeling like I'm trying to get tickets for a Kiss or Led Zeppelin mega-show just to see the PIXIES!
On a brighter note....last night I found out a friend of mine scored four tickets. Which means my girflriend and I are going to see the Pixies at Freeborn Hall! for $36, WHAT THE TICKETS SHOULD AND DO COST. Just the way I wanted it!

Posted - 03/02/2004 : 06:15:40 In a related story, ebay seems to be flooded with tickets for this show. It seems that the scalpers didn't have their sights on the other shows that went on sale on the 21st... but look at them now! I wonder what percentage of tickets for this show went to scalpers. I'd be willing to bet it's pretty high. |

Posted - 03/01/2004 : 19:29:42 Hey, I was trying to help. If you guys wanna moan about it, go ahead. I didn't say you had to buy them.
I noticed a lot of folks lamenting the fact that they didn't get Freeborn tickets and I said where you could get them. I got mine at a regular vendor and I went looking for other tickets for fans that didn't have them. Yeah, scalping sucks ass but if you want to see the band, sometimes scalpers are your only option. Besides they were only selling six tickets so it's not like they bought up ALL the tickets you couldn't get. Go ahead let those tickets rot and miss what could be your last chance to see the Pixies. |

Posted - 03/01/2004 : 17:55:31 I feel the same way.
Even the people buying tickets for multiple shows is getting me a bit ticked off. I know they aren't the big reason for the extreme run on tickets (see ebay for the main reason), but it's annoying that they are buying up tickets for one show to trade for another show or getting to go to multiple shows when I can't even get tickets in my home town after standing in line for 5 hours. Life isn't fair, blah, blah, blah, but this fan is now jaded. |

Posted - 03/01/2004 : 16:57:47 At the risk of sounding crude, I would rather fuck myself in my own ass than pay even 100 bucks to these "legal scalpers." Fuck them, and fuck ANYONE who bought tickets for the Freeborn Hall show for any other reason than seeing the Pixies play there (a.k.a. shameless profiteering)
I would rather miss seeing my favorite band in the world than be any part in this fucking vampirism (if you can't tell, i'm a little bitter about my inability to score tickets today...through the REAL vendor, that is.)
