Guys...I don't even have my tickets in my hand yet, but I'm already considering the Pixies concert in Winnipeg the best concert I have ever been to. This is one concert where I will be high-fiving non-stop. Anybody else feel this way?

the 4/14 burton cummings show has a great deal of significance attached to it. the first show. 12 years apart. how they going to be? what song? there are others. beyond that date the rest of the warm up tour, will be the first time in about 15 years that THE PIXIES have played such personal shows 1500 or less. also it will be the last time in the next 15 years that they will.
after these scheduled dates i have no idea what the band will do, but i do know it will be in front of many more than 1500 people. so all these dates are special, greatest ever we will see. for me they do not have to do more than show up the way i know they can

I will have to remind myself not to stagedive off the balcony!
Part of me doesn't wan't to expect too much, after all we will be seeing the first show in 12 years, maybe they will be rusty? (Wasn't that the point of a warm-up tour?) But at the same time I know that the 900 miles of driving, hotel, gas, days off from work, all will be worth it. I have been waiting for this show for 12 years. |

i expect to fall into a deep, dark, everlasting depression after the show in boise. i will burn the threatre down and piss on cheny's oil fields on my way back to denver. what the hell am i blathering about?
it will be a great fucking show!
