After running into that name about a gazillion times on ticketmaster.com, I finally looked for their site. I'm sure dozens of you already have, but it's fun to see the faces behind the name.

Madara and White signed the girls to a recording contract and suggested the name be changed to “The Pixies Three” as a Baltimore group had previously made a record (although not successful) under the name “The Pixies”.
Hahah whaaat?! Unless this is yet another PIXIES.. not successful, excuse me?!
Needs Calgary tickets for the Pixies. :\ |

I'll pass on the pixies three for the pixies four. That's too funny; all these weeks I was picturing something like US-3 & that Funky, funky" song...

I think the Pixies Three should be the opening act at Winnipeg. Just to keep us on our toes, an announcer could come on the intercom: "Ladies and Gentlemen, the Pixies ... (brief pause) ... THREE!" |

Although, now that I read on, they have a similar style to the Pixies:
"snapping, foot stomping, perky girl-next-door, bubble gum-feel-good music"

You know, I was not prepared for how funny that was going to be. I have been seeing the name "Pixies Three" for weeks now, I guess I was imagining something different...
Maybe we should all go a Pixies Three show! Oh wait, no dates are currently scheduled. Nevermind! |
