Posted - 09/24/2025 : 13:58:19 Discovered this by total accident today. They are doing a new tour in 2026 including a stop at the Royal Albert Hall! Well I guess its classical music to Gen-X nowadays

Posted - 06/17/2026 : 19:41:49 Nice article reviewing a recent show
https://metalplanetmusic.com/2026/06/gig-review-pixies-gans-olympia-dublin/
"Of course it’s great celebrating a top band like the Pixies hitting a milestone like 40 years, but at the same time remember, nothing lasts forever so make sure you get out there and see these bands while you can". |

Posted - 06/01/2026 : 14:02:10 It must be right, they did it again the next night too, opening up with mostly 2.0 songs
the whiplash must be crazy

Anybody going in England / Scotland?
Yep, seeing them at the Royal Albert Hall on Thursday. I will report back.
Is that setlist correct? Did they really open with 4 tracks from TNTZC? |

Some serious Bossanova-tracks! Lot's of Zombies too, which I would love at a live show

Holy shit, a Pixies gig without Monkey Gone To Heaven? Like a dream come true!

Posted - 05/15/2026 : 08:00:02 Lovely setlist that. Been enjoying the little clips they posted on Twitter, a few dates in China, Hong Kong and first time ever in the Philippines! |

Setlists have been looking nice, nothing really unexpected
Although it still is amazing to see deeper Bossanova and TLM tracks showing up, which was unimaginable a few years ago
Yes, take for instance this one:

It's genuinely shocking anytime hearing Frank speak during a Pixies show.
He talked a lot during the BossaTrompe shows That was fun!

Posted - 11/09/2025 : 16:33:25 From the first Australia show this week:
Allison: (Song played twice. Frank Black said “I played a wrong chord, its a short song, let’s play it again”)
How fun is that? |

Posted - 10/02/2025 : 00:20:30 that's a good point, about the artwork not having been created just for the tour, but maybe also for an upcoming release.
i also wonder which other dates will be added to this tour. there are plenty of gaps still.
it's educational |

I guess there will be some sort of special 40th anniversary release or something else to make this tour more special. The venues certainly are.
But the artwork on the website seems like a lot of work for just a tour.
Maybe a new greatest hits with 1.0 and 2.0 combined and a couple of new ones.
Release Bam Thwok on it and everyone here will buy it

Add Super Lecker & Women of War and I'll pay any money |

Posted - 09/29/2025 : 10:28:30 Happens a lot here. I remember a lot of people leaving Modest Mouse extremely pissed off because they didn't play Float On even though their set was amazing. |

Posted - 09/29/2025 : 09:14:08 Maybe it's because I've never had a lot of money but I can't imagine paying that much for concert tickets to hear one or two songs. |

Posted - 09/29/2025 : 07:25:52 They always sell out quickly in Ireland. Plenty of older fans but also thousands of event junkies who go for Where Is My Mind and Monkey and don't care about much else. |

Posted - 09/29/2025 : 06:20:23 The Alhambra in Dunfermline Scotland is a bit of a strange venue for them. The venue doesn't have a big history of music gigs where they usually have musicals, stand up comedians etc.
Appears to be a seated venue where it can hold between 250 and 2100 people. Not surprised tickets sold out so quickly considering this was the only date in Scotland.

Posted - 09/29/2025 : 03:36:47 why is it sold out so fast now? are these venues smaller than the ones they typically play? or do shows in ireland etc. always sell out quickly?
i mean, it's just another tour, no? nothing special, necessarily. unless people read the "40 years" differently.

Posted - 09/27/2025 : 22:58:48 Rotterdam already sold out, in a day or so This band keeps amazing me
They also sold out two shows in Ireland and one in Scotland.

Posted - 09/27/2025 : 11:15:11 Strangely unmoved by the RAH dates. It's a great venue, but a largely seated show seems strange, so I'll pass. Hope they add some more UK dates next year. |

Posted - 09/25/2025 : 04:10:30 Some venues they have never played in the Netherlands. In cities that not a lot of bands visit too. Special to say the least!
Wondering if the setlists will be out of left field too
