Deal could sing harmonies. And she has a nice singing voice (trained or not trained). Paz is great, but she obvioulsy can't sing harmonies very well. Her voice is rather monotonous, bland, whaterver you call it (not melodic if you want). And she sounds off-pitch most of the time. And she also brought something very unique to the band. Something they probably missed for many years. So, I'm far from being all negative about her. 50/50.

Not sure what you mean by flat. None of these members are trained "singers" they just sing/scream the way they do. She doesn't sound much different to me than Kim Deal. Unless you are a trained singer and know different styles and pitches (choir) or something like that, I doubt that most can tell much of a difference. |
