Posted - 01/19/2014 : 20:48:51 Excellent tonight. Just a coupla (very slight) hiccups more to do with Frank and Paz getting in sync vocally. And they stopped Isla after a real bad start and they huddled for a few then Charles, very funnily turns to the crowd and says "Relax, we'll get it!" very funny.
But, they were great. Joey was, well......what else, superb. Paz' voice got stronger as the nite progressed and her voice was solid. Her bass playing is a BIG step from both Kim's actually. You felt the presence of a strong musician up there. Very happy to hear "Snakes" cuz I like that song alot. Dont know if they did that before tonite. bye now

Posted - 01/20/2014 : 05:31:32 Thanks, Mac, you're right. Really enjoyed that opening with the all-brass band playing all those songs from "Surfer Rosa". Especially that they ended with that long "Bone Machine" followed by Frank and the Pixies taking the stage and blowing the roof off with THEIR "Bone Machine"! haha |
