Non-French speaking guys: it says the Paris gig on Monday is gonna be broadcast on Deezer (audio I guess) and Arteliveweb (video I guess). From 9pm.

Mine was the link of the stream, not the actual video (as I explained). You still had to figure a way to download it (rtmpdump, for example).

That's what the guy who shared the whole concert did, obviously

that doesn't work for me.
this one, however, worked fine: rtmp://arte.fcod.llnwd.net/a2306/o25/MP4:liveweb/stream/5801_pixies_30-09-2013_milgram_v2_ok_hd.mp4

Hidownload crashes at program launching on my computer (Win7x64) and is a limited-trial-period software.

As an alternative, you can use http://www.streamtransport.com/ (Windows)

Start the program, paste the URL http://liveweb.arte.tv/fr/video/Pixies_a_l_Olympia/ and select the stream to download. (just one flaw: download speed is the same as video speed). Seems to work fine however.

I managed to download the video stream to my computer by using HiDownload Platinum. Give it a try. Install HiDownload, then start the program. THEN you open a new Firefox window and type in the URL for the video stream. That way HiDownload will start downloading.

Concert available (streaming) on the original website http://liveweb.arte.tv/fr/video/Pixies_a_l_Olympia/

There's a few tutorials here and there to capture the stream (search google for rtmp capture arte live for example)

Fantastic show. Alec Eiffel in Paris, how fitting. Great to see the set list getting turned upside down night after night.

Random thoughts on both Paris nights... I'm really thrilled that I did see both gigs. Yesterday I decided myself 30 mins before the gig, grabbed a ticket at the entrance and stepped inside just as they came on stage. The shows were VERY different. First, as said before the setlists had few songs in common. They started with the same 2 songs (Heaven/Andro) and that was about it except for the new tracks.

The sound was way better on Sunday, at least in the venue. For what I read the sound was good on TV but it was actually very messy (plus I was near the mixing table the first night and in the mosh pit yesterday so that didn't help). Most important, they played the slower songs on sunday whereas yesterday was much more brutal. Sunday's gig had Frank on the semiacoustic guitar for the first 12-15 songs, playing Havalina and Winterlong. Yesterday we had all the 1'30" punk tracks. Allison was fantastic and D=RxT too. I've read a review on Sunday that said the band lacked passion but it's not true (actually they smiled much more that night). They played slower but better.

New songs - Bagboy sounded amazing on Sunday, not so much on Monday. It was the contrary for Indie Cindy which IMO didn't work well live, until yesterday. Another Toe is definitely better live, especially Sunday's version which had some top notch growling and yelling. Snail and Magdalena are great. Wonder how they'll sound on the record.

Highlights - some quality moshing on What Goes Boom. Front crowd went nuts, and on a new song, which was nice. Motorway was crazily good. And I feared there would be too many Doolittle songs in the setlist but they were all awesome (except La la Love You obsiously). The band was super intense and the second hald of monday's show left me speechless. Nr 1 best moment ever: the Subbacultcha-D=RxT segue. The world NEEDS a Trompe Le Monde tour!
All in all I loved these shows, a thousand times more than the first reunion gig in 2004 which let me quite disappointed. Killer setlists, a bunch of screw ups cause they're not robots, everyone in top form. Kim's mic should've been louder.

According to setlist.fm they haven't played Hangwire since 1991.
http://www.setlist.fm/stats/songs/pixies-2bd6846a.html?song=Hang+Wire

Last time The Happening was played was in 1992.
http://www.setlist.fm/stats/songs/pixies-2bd6846a.html?song=The+Happening

Not sure how accurate this info is because the site is based on user input, but there's quite a bit of useful info on there. You can see on the left side a list of all the Pixies songs that have been reported as being played live, and if you click on them you can see the first time performed, how many times it's been performed, the most recent time it's been performed, etc.

Thanks for this though I only tuned in to see the end of U-Mass and Where is My Mind. Has Frank been letting the crowd sing the chorus like that before this show? I liked it, seemed different to the usual crowd singing the "oooh oooh" part.

Fun stuff... The sound in the venue wasn't actually very good. It was way better on Sunday. Still, great gig again, and I love that they changed the setlist completely. If I'm not mistaken there were only 7 songs that were played on both nights.

YEAH BABE PIXIES WOOT WOOT

Haha. No, you're right, I'm going to hammersmith too. I'm going to blame only getting one hour of sleep but I could just be losing it.

A relief there isn't some secret show I am missing out on then! Looking forward to Hammersmith as it's where I first saw them!

I'll have to have to check that out again. Really loved listening to that gig but didn't enjoy Bagboy. Maybe I need to try harder.

Whatever, these live streams are making me really rather excited about seeing them in Brixton.

Frank smiles ! WTF

Great show. AT LEAST the band seems to enjoy to tour. Some reunion tour shows were quite boring, to say the least. This is definitely not the case any more. I'm very pleased with what is happening right now.

Joey does make some mistakes, Kim sounds pitchy here and there. But you know, they are just starting out with these big evolving setlists and the energy is great.
