I just wandered in the door, still in a haze from Brixton to switch on the TV to immediately see Frank being interviewed saying they are going to play Blued Eyed Hexe next!
I did'nt see Indie Cindy yet but compared to Boom and Wave which I saw on Tueday, Hexe was really something. Can't wait to hear the official recording. |

Yeah I thought that a litte too. Mainly they just sounded like they hadn't played these songs live much - which they haven't. They will grow into the songs though, and Kim's vocals sould get better, which I thought were weak.

Watching "What Goes Boom," I cannot stop smiling from ear to ear.
I absolutely LOVE seeing Pixies enjoying having something new to share and taking pride in having something new to prove.
Also, FBF is really "selling it" on these TV spots, which I am thrilled to see.
Everyone knows how important these appearances are in the grand scheme of things, and it looks as if they are each individually pulling out all the stops, to the best of their abilities ...

does anyone know if they played more than two songs? maybe an extra song will be shown on the longer version of the show on friday?
i don't know "later with jools holland" well enough to know the differences between tuesday and friday episodes.

Even the crappiest cellphone video I've seen from the recent performances show a band having a great time, diving into a sold out tour with new songs to play, a new record out and more on the way. It's good to it see it crystal clear here.
