3 nites at Bowery Ballroom, by far the BEST small club in NYC (sound, sightlines,etc) Been there "hundreds" of times (almost literally!)
Couldnt even get thru on TM. And it's such a small place it sold out in minutes I'm sure. Seen FB & the C's there a few times. Great place if I was able to get a tic but wonder why they're playing such a small place.
Oh well. Cant complain. saw them enuf in 2004-2005-2009 haha |

Thanks Arm Arm Arm...I am very excited! Plus I'm going with my boyhood best friend I've know for 29 years! We only hang out now maybe once a year, so I'm stoked with the whole thing!

I will be at the El Rey on 9/9/13. I spent an arm and a leg getting these tickets, but they were my birthday gift to myself :)

i think the email functionality is broken, and has been for years.
you could post your email address on here. and then delete it again after you've been in touch via email, so it doesn't stay available online.

I also wasn't able to get tickets for the Brussels gig(s) at the AB. That is also my favourite venue. I'd love to see them there.
Both shows were sold out before I even found out about them. I was away for the weekend, and didn't check my mails, and BAM! All gone. :(
It's hard to believe that I'll have to miss these shows. I've gone to every Pixies reunion show in Belgium so far, and I was ready for more.
I put myself on their waiting list, but a couple of days later, I got a missed call from a private number, and I'm afraid it was them, and that I missed my chance. :(
Just showing up on the day of the gig and hoping to find a ticket there is being considered. But hopefully I'll be able to buy one in advance still. Fingers crossed.

yeah. when the reunion shows went on sale Vancouver sold out in about 4 minutes. i bought 4 tix for the Saturday show in Saskatoon (20 hrs East-ish but it was on a weekend) as insurance - was a fun trip. when back in town the next week i ended up getting 2 tix day of the first show through TM so not even a walk-up.....
i personally like to have my tickets beforehand and don't like going to the venue hoping to get in; but i refuse to pay ridiculous prices.

Oh yeah, I once scored front row for Pearl Jam and another time for Joe Satriani with this method, the day of the show, in the latter case, maye an hour before the concert started. You can still get into all of these shows, Simi. |

Keep checking online for tickets; often a venue will release them way after the initial sale.
If this doesn't work, go down to the box office on the day of. You may find a fan with an extra for face; and often you can get a ticket from the box office. I've done this with Pearl Jam, Pixies, Joe Satriani, and Radiohead. Don't be discouraged if they say no tickets are available. Just hang around and wait. If you see a line suddenly form, hop in it and don't get out, even if a worker tells you no tix are for sale.
We scoured an extra for a friend of ours at Wrigley for face, from the box office. A worker came out, once telling us these ARE CUBS TICKETS, NOT PEARL JAM TICKETS and when no one stepped out of line, she returned with another guy and tried again. Not five minutes later that same window started selling tickets. Good luck! |

I reckon it'll be worth waiting for the second wave of 'new direction' Pixies live shows, once they've all had a chance to find their feet on stage. |

Double whammy! P Jam went on sale exact same time for their 2 Bkln nites and couldnt get thru for that either. Oh, well |
