Well I, for one, am so damn psyched to see the band perform this album live. Complete albums live can be incredible. I saw David Bowie perform Low a few years ago in New York and I was AMAZED!

And ironically, I just saw a few hours after I posted that, that My Morning Jacket is doing this exact thing in October. Taking 5 nights at a venue in New York and playing an album in its entirety each night.

"Not sure any band has done something like that before"

Actually Sparks did 21 nights in London a couple years ago playing one of their albums each night.

In fact, what would be great, is if they just spent 5 nights in each city, with each night being a different album (they'd really have to stretch the Come On Pilgrim set though, maybe just play the entire Purple Tape, who knows). Completely unreasonable, but wouldn't it be nice...

I like this idea! Not sure any band has done something like that before so they might be tempted. But each show would be pretty short like the Doolittle one, so maybe 2 albums a night, and they could do the gigs Fri-Sunday?

I guess since this is a "once in a lifetime" kinda tour, so I'm guessing that this is for those unfortunate enough to miss the first go 'round, but, man, do I really want a Bossanova tour. The most exciting part of the announcement of the original Doolittle tour for me was when Frank said that he'd be down for a Bossanova tour too if it worked out.

The album is so good, and they are playing it so tight. They have never sounded so good in my opinion. This tour can go on until they are dead, which is fine by me. I would go see Doolittle once a year, it's like Christmas.

Speaking about how they have never sounded so good...

Really? If it's the one I'm thinking of, he mentioned that he had more money to spend, hence choosing Ocean Way and the place in London. Abbey Road was out of the question, however.

If they're going to go from Homer to Nome, they should stop for a show in Wasilla or Talketna.

Because we don't all live in big cities that were blessed with the first go around of the tour. Us living in secondary markets might be happy that the tour is continuing.

Good news for the quaternary markets...

Seriously ppl - do you want a doolittle tour to go on for another year when you could be getting something else?

I guess it doesn't matter what Frank Black and Co plays - as long as you can buy tickets to see him perform in your own backyard.

Maybe a) people didn't respond because they like this tour. I truly enjoyed the shows i saw, but i, too, am ready for them to move on. But also, b) people don't know the answer to your question and maybe they don't want to post just to say "i don't know."

And yes, this was posted in the wrong section. I'll move it.

I don't know what that something else could be. A new Pixies record doesn't interest me.
A gig containing Pixies, Frank Black and Breeders songs played by the band does, but that'll never happen.

I'd much prefer to hear Frank's post Pixie material but what can you do. The Pixies is where the money's at.
I keep telling myself it's this money that helps Frank and Kim, especially, to continue as artists in their own right and I await their future releases with impatience.

I don't think that's the real reason - considering over 70 people read this already.

They'll have to end it when people stop going to the concerts.

I'm still holding out for the "Teenager of the Year Tour."
