Posted - 11/10/2005 : 12:23:49 i think it's like a too perfect recording. i prefered the brixton cds. reading was great but somehow this doesnt quite capture the atmosphere.you need to hear the crowd too. both frank and kim are quite clear but joey seems to quiet. still stormy weather rocks. and i love the way both frank and kim dont bother singing lines like a bit lazy and not they were recorded. like the way he says 'where is, my mind?'

Posted - 11/10/2005 : 11:42:37 that's a shame, I like it when I hear some audience, but I don't like it when I can hear one or two people sing along with the songs.

Posted - 11/10/2005 : 11:30:53 it's ok but i don't really like any of the cd's that are done from the soundboard. it could be a radio session. i much prefer the live stuff that you usually hear on the bbc that have a good mix of sound from the crowd. you can hardly hear the crowd except between songs. i remember reading being one of the best sounding gigs from out in the field but franks voice is a bit rough. like he's taking it easy as he knows he has a few more headline gigs to do and didnt want to over do it. not really worth the 2 months wait. |
