Posted - 08/30/2005 : 04:43:54 Can anyone provide a complete set-list? I was in the crush at the front to the right of the stage and can't remember much about it - fatigue/old-age whatever!!
I remember a fairly slow start with Wave of Mutilation (UK Surf), Where is My Mind?, In Heaven and Winterlong then it gets somewhat blurred. Vamos/Ed is Dead/Hey/Alec Eiffel/Bone Machine/Broken Face /Subbacultcha/Caribou/Cactus/Here Comes Your Man/Gouge Away/Debaser/Monkey Gone to Heaven/Into the White/Wave of M and Gigantic.
They finished on Wave of Mutilation (I thinK) and did the usual front-of stage waving etc. and then had a quick discussion before starting on an encore of Gigantic. Kim sang the first verse and they messed it up. There was another few minutes discussion and they went straight into the chorus. Couldn't see why they didn't start at the beginning but there you go!
Thought the Reading set looked more impressive - 'Head' On and 'Stormy Weather' Fantastic!! Cheers JC PS Off to Manchester this afternoon and hoping for 'Head On'

I was there, absolutely amazing, I think it was the best I have ever seen them, but a longer encore would have been better, oh well can't complain. Just a query to anyone who may have been there, if you can remember, I shouted "I love you Kim" to Kim and I swear she replied to it, to me it sounded like, "Thank you young sir.", but I could be wrong. The guy in front of me turned around and questioned it as well, so I'm pretty sure I wasn't hearing things. If anyone could verify it for me that would be great. I just hope they don't cut it from the CD. As for where I was, I was front (about two rows from the front) centre, the closest I have ever been for the Pixies and the best view I've had. I was a little disappointed at the lack of a crowd reaction, everyone was just content with watching, that might be because of how close I was, but y'know... I was dancing a lot and probably pissed off quite a few people. Oh yeah, and was anyone here groped by some random skinhead, he started feeling my arse and then worked my thigh, a bit disturbing, really...
I was surrounded by blokes yelling "I love you Kim" & "Kim you rule"

Posted - 08/30/2005 : 05:49:39 Ooh good work johnc - it was all just one happy tearful blur for me everything you said there seems right my brain is still broken - the only bit that doesn't match for me is that Dave Lovering came in too slow with Gigantic going into the first chorus and that's where they picked up from again.
