(yeah i know this could have gone in the other thread, but i like the extra room)

well this was the first time i got to see the pixies, and like lots of people id never expected to see them, so this was extra super exiting....the two bands playing beforehand on the mainstage were the queens of the stoneage and the killers who were both pretty good, but let down by bad sound, but that may have just been me being resentful that they werent the pixies. Instead HPM and i got distracted by people in superhero costumes and some brave/crazy/ironic person wearing a new hanson tshirt.

Anyway....eventually the pixies came on, the crowd did seem to diminish slightly after the killers went off but there were still loads of exited people and they came on to huge applause and played:

’U-Mass’
’Head On’
’I Bleed’
’Crackity Jones’
’Dead’
’Bone Machine’
’Debaser’
’Tame’
’Gouge Away’
’Monkey Gone To Heaven’
’Broken Face’
’Isla De Encanta’
’Something Against You’
’Stormy Weather’
’Planet Of Sound’
’Caribou’
’The Sad Punk’
’Into The White’
’The Holiday Song’
’Nimrod’s Son’
’Vamos’
’Mr Grieves’
’Here Comes Your Man’
’Wave Of Mutilation (UK Surf)’
’In Heaven’/’Where Is My Mind?’

Encore:

’Hey’
’Gigantic’

They played absolutely amazingly, they kept a raw energy and excitement throughout the whole set...Kim singing the lady in the radiator song was beautiful, and a nice way of breaking up some of the more 'screamy' songs....every song sounded a million times better live. especially where is your mind...the banter between Kim and Charles was cool, they seemed genuinely relaxed and happy to be there...even making jokes about kim being too sick to cough.... I had been worried that the crowd would only be interested in their more famous songs or the nirvana connection but they seeme to adore every song

oh and HPM danced so much that when we got back to the tent it looked like his feet were on fire with all the smoke (steam) coming off...im sure ive missed loads....but i think i'll sleep first, i hope its as good for you leeds people!

Hahaha, I forgot about that guy in the Hanson t-shirt.

Those superheros were out again on Sunday. I shouted at Spiderman who had his mask pulled up "Hey Spidey are you mad? You've revealed your true identity", so he pulled it back down and put his finger to his lips.

I'd walk her everyday, into a shady place
