Posted - 04/30/2005 : 16:31:18 About a year a go, there was some discussion about Clearchannel's patent for live concert recordings. It was also discussed that they would monopolize the sale and distribution of live recordings in its venues.
Well, yesterday Clear Channel announced it was spinning off its Outdoor Advertising and Live Entertainment (live venues it owns)into a new publicly heald compnany.
I am not sure if this is good news, bad news or indifferent for Pixies discs, because I don't know enough about his industry.
Here's the link to the press release: http://www.clearchannel.com/Corporate/PressReleases/2005/Clear%20Channel%20Strategic%20Realignment%20Announcement%204%2029%2005.pdf
Let's hope this is good news! |

Hopefully, the new holding company will be cooler than Clearchannel was. |

anyways, I also found an article on Pollstar about this: http://www.pollstar.com/news/viewnews.pl?NewsID=3968
