Very excited about Pixies headling Lolla. It will be fun seeing them play outdoors for the first time!

Well, the Pixies are playing at Red Rocks, CO on June 5th and in Cleveland, OH on June 8th. That gives them two days to play between those two cities, and I believe Minneapolis, Milwaukee, and Chicago are all between those two places. I'm secretly holding out hope that they'll play in my home town of Dell Rapids, SD (the bustling metropolis of 4,000 people that it is) or even the nearby Sioux Falls (Hell, Camper Van Beethoven is playing there June 2nd. There's a chance!) but Minnapolis or Milwaukee would be much less of a drive than Red Rocks. I did see Radiohead out there though. It was a very good show. I'd like to see the Pixies there, and am currently planning on it.
But yes, June 6th and 7th are not taken yet, so there's a chance! |

I am planning on going. It's on a weekend its a close drive and even if the Pixies don't play, I am sure it's going to be huge. Something like 70 band in 2 days. |

Yes. well, kind of. The Lollapalooza people are trying smthg new this year by just having one big festival in downtown Chicago. I hope they're successful with it!

Looking further into it, they may already be across the pond when Summerfest is running, so our chances could be somewhere between nil and zero.

Madison or Milwaukee would be lovely. Right now I'm planning on driving to Red Rocks to see them and that's a much farther jaunt. It is an excellent venue, though. But I'd be very happy for less of a road trip. So I'm with you there. |
