Disclive screwed my order for my St Paul discs and after calling them about 10 times, each time telling me they are being overnighted to me, they sent me a bunch of discs. Not the ones I ordered though but Hull, Toronto, Amhurst and another one.

Duplicate copies of each and the weird thing is most of them are unnumbered.

Anyone else get any like that?

Chris

Disclive scrwed up my order too.

I ordered the Chicago 11-17 show. The first cde is 11-17 and the second is from 11-16.

I really hate their work. Bad Recording, bad packaging, low quality cds. Pixiesdiscs are really better. It's a little bit longer but quality is here either sound quality or packaging. Every thing is perfect.

Here's a pic of my disc without the number:

dyperman, check the firts title from your concert; it was a rare one with head on opening... no chicago show starts with that song...

I got the akron ohio show and instead of saying live from akron ohio it said live from chicago and chicago was scratched out and akron was written in magic marker. also Kim said "my moms here tonight" at the show and it isnt on the disc....I got the chicago show ?

Disclive alos screwed some of my orders.
i had for replacement some unumbered sets, and some with numbers over 1000! (it says 1016 of 1000).
(and i still wait a refund for the set i still do not have)
i also note thatthe stickers from toronto 11.24.2004 are grey (you can't read "of 1000") and the final recorded date (amherst 11.30.2004 is not a digipack but a cristal box.
...they might had problems with stickers and digipack... (the last doors of the 21st century is also a box... the others were digipacks)

today I got one of the four nights in Brixton, Uk from last year and it has no sticker number too. It just says "of 1500". Since I bought it from ebay I first thought it was a "fake" but it just looks like the other cd's I bought directly from disclive, and it was also still sealed, so it might be some replacement copy sent to someone.

My replacement Disc had no numbers at all. Very, Super, Extra Special!
I think they are trying to say that 'we understand that you are a unique individual who prefers not to be pigeonholed or reduced to a mere number."

I don't know, I am glad to just have the stupid discs after all this time. Regret not standing in the monsterous line now. :-/

I'm not questioning that it's legal
but maybe disclive just stickered on 0001, because they want to make up
all the mistakes they made and make you feel special

It's legit definately, I am just wondering how I got the damned thing. It just looks different than the others I have seen, although to my knowledge I don't think ANYONE has seen a number this low.
billgoodman Posted - 04/03/2005 : 09:23:34
you would think that the first 10 would go to the band, management, friends, disclive
or maybe more
I don't know it actually

a big silver sticker however seems a bit fake, but I have never looked closely to a disclive digipack

I gotta scan it, it looks different than every other disc I have seen.

It is a BIG silver sticker with a large 0001 on it in black. From what I have grown to understand weren't the first 4 supposed to goto the Pixies themselves?
billgoodman Posted - 03/26/2005 : 11:07:16
that's a nice number, but in the light of the new info
maybe there are mutliplate number 1's

I got my copy of 11-15 earlier this week finally, but what is weird is it is #0001
chrischob Posted - 03/18/2005 : 10:08:27
I gave up calling disclive. I must have called them a dozen times since january and got the samer story everytime. I got a copy of the show from a web site but hopefully, one day, someone will sell the Nov 10/04 show on ebay or something.

i bet they just lied to us about the whole "limited run, limited numbered" junk that theyve been feeding us. the unnumbered ones had to be made because they screwed up so many but they hit the limit that they were supposed to sell.

a day late, a dollar short
frank_black_francis Posted - 03/17/2005 : 11:07:07
My replacement Montreal discs were also un-numbered....who knows, the un-numbered ones may be worth more in the long-run?
billgoodman Posted - 03/17/2005 : 06:46:47
that sucks chris

maybe those discs will be worth a couple of bucks more than they are now
but this isn't what you have asked for
keep the discs and ask for your st.paul ones
