His keyboard fills do appear in the original Doolittle cut. It is a plucked cello. Paul was just including this. I agree, however, that it was a bit loud in their mixing on Letterman.

i thought they finished up monkey gone to heaven really pretty strong but joey's solo lacked sizzle & they sound really tentative at the beginning of the song...

anyway, felt i had to post here because i saw that someone's username was soundofataris...haha...anyway, hi everyone!

i just made an announcement about the repeat broadcast over at the sonic youth message board...most people there are pro-pixes, but a few don't like 'em...

I don't really understand the negative comments either. I can't see how it could've been any better than it was...

I thought they're performance was amazing. Maybe I'd just been waiting for it too long to bee objective but I was fuckin' stocked.

Who wants to play cops and dope fiends?

I say judge for yourself :) I actually thought it was great and Mr. Daisy even thought it was the best preformance ever!!!

Yeah, but they all looked cute, Frank with the glasses and Kim
with her whole look. It's always good to see Frank get some
exposure, even if it means Monkey for the 1,000th time.

I still believe in the excellent joy of the Frank
