I'm confused. It's as if the Boston show never happened. I heard stuff about it before hand, but I cannot find anything about how it went. No setlists, no nothing. Wasn't El Lovering performing? Wasn't it supposed to be a big show? I went to the site that sells the discs and they stilll don't have a setlist up. If it had been cancelled I think I would have heard something. Could somebody help me out? I'm so lost.

If you thought his voice was bad in Boston, I thought the singing and Franks voice was worse the week before in Toronto, although I think they played better in Toronto.

Amherst is the last Disclive event of the tour. I thought it was great and the best of the three I had seen. Might be still available...

So if it was so unexceptional, that would likely explain the lack of talk about it. Since the show Lowell on the 1st isn't available, what would you recommend me purchasing??? Was that Amherst one really good and is it available?

I was there and between Boston, Umass, and Tsongas; the Boston show was the weakest by far. They were amazing at Umass probably because they had a day off before hand. Frank's voice is shot. He cracked on the high notes and seemed more comfortable screaming than singing. If I remember correctly, at UMass he sang the high notes of Monkey in full voice, but since then he's been doing it falsetto. He's going to be in bad shape at the end of their Hammerstein run. To his credit though, it didn't seem to affect his song choice. He barreled through and did his best.

The sound was great and the club was packed beyond fire code, I'm sure. They announced that they had forgotten to write a setlist and seemed to be genuinely improvising the song order. There were two fun false starts of HCYM. Both times, Frank just sort of rolled his eyes and launched into a different song. Then they came out and played it coreectly during their one song encore which seemed to dissapoint the crowd, but I know it was just the club trying to get us out of there so they could let the club kids in. Apparantly, rock show enthusists don't drink enough.

I was there. It did happen. Trust me.

Check out the message board at pixiesmusic.com. There some photos and stuff there. Interesting account about some guy trying to punch Frank backstage after the show.
