Anyone go, I had a friend go who said he bought live CDs at the show like they used to do...Anyone have any info on this? Who was producing the CDs ? It second hand info so I am trying to confirm this. Maybe all the legal bickering over nickels was ended.

There seems to be a problem on the site, so they emailed me a file of the cover. You can ask them for a copy: service@munckmusic.com

(( I talk plain talk ))

A+

Wow, thats a great shot. Frank is such a badass. Thanks for posting it!
pystdragon Posted - 10/22/2004 : 20:40:35
Here's the best shot I got of Frank. Most of my Kim shots turned out horribly, but I'm trying to salvage and scan and tinker. This is just a taste of what I got.

Bumpin the topic. I really want this recording.

the files for bittorent will either be in SHN or FLAC format..Just go to etree.org to download one of the tools to unpack these into wav files, then burn it like any other wav file to CD. I know many find this hard to believe, but it literally takes 30 seconds to do this. And yes, you cant be bumping around with the dial up either, gotta upgrade to DSL or cable.

Man, they start doing this again after the FL and GA shows, at which I would have bought a disc every night? That kind of sucks...oh well, maybe next time. It would have been nice to have had a memento.
Wade Posted - 10/18/2004 : 14:21:45
bittorented... there's that again.

What is the nature of the files you get from a bittorent. I got a pixies show from bittorrent and had no idea what to do with the files once I got them. .md5 was the extension, if I'm not mistaken.

here is a link to the voodoo music store (?):
https://www.munckmusic.com/wms/voodoo/index.html
the Pixies MAY be availible for d/l
my $.02
frankblacktaper Posted - 10/18/2004 : 09:10:29
if they exist, they will get bittorrented out, especially if they are limited edition Out Of Print discs which evidently they were.
pystdragon Posted - 10/18/2004 : 08:59:40
Yes, there were soundboard recordings of the show for sale on the festival grounds-- but only for sale on the festival grounds.

Unfortunately, I didn't have the $22 to cough up for one, so I'm hoping that they pop up somewhere or someone can do a b&p for me. I have pictures of the show(I had press access, so I was frontstage photographing) that I'd offer to share if someone could help me find this recording. I'll probably post them up in the near future anyway, but maybe that's some incentive.

If you go to Voodoofest's official site www.voodoomusicfest.com, there's a link to an affiliate site, Voodoomusiclive.com(i think) where they have a list of recorded sets for sale. Unfortnately, as previously mentioned, the pixies recordings were only available THAT night at the venue.

The set was awesome, by the way. If your friend obtained this-- please, please please have him or her contact me or contact me yourself about possibly arranging some kind of trade or exchange of some kind. Those photos will be developed, scanned, and hosted by wednesday night if all goes according to plan.

Thanks in advance,
Justin
