Did anyone else go?! This was, hands down, the best show I've ever been to. I've seen Frank live twice , but I haven't seen the band together since the Trompe tour, and they blew me away last night. We got there early to secure a good spot and ended up 2nd row, right in front of Frank. It rained on us for a while, but that helped since it was so hot and squishy. I was initially worried because the crowd looked very...young. But everyone was pretty well behaved for the most part. Not much talk on stage, other than Kim's usual "Hi!" and a couple of "thanks." Got smashed and banged around quite a bit, but that didn't prevent me from having a good time. It amazes me that people will mosh to "Hey" and Joey's solo in "Vamos." Fuckers. Anyway, Frank looked ridiculously cool in all black and sunglasses. I had a clear view of everyone but Joe. The sound was great, my only complaint was that I couldn't hear Kim's vocals that well, but that might have been because of her throat thingy. And NO BOSSANOVA - not even Velouria Set list, not in order, off the top of my head:

- Bone Machine
- Crackity Jones
- River Euphrates
- Something Against You (this is where it really got rowdy)
- Planet of Sound
- Isla de Encanta
- Ed is Dead
- Tame
- Gouge Away
- Nimrod's Son (fast all the way through)
- Wave (Doolittle version)
- In Heaven/WIMM (this was hillarious - the audience was singing so
loud and so out of tune that it actually fucked up the band. Frank was running back and forth between Kim and Joe trying to get things back on track.)
- Gigantic
- Head On (!!!!!)
- Dead
- Hey
- #13
- U-Mass
- Debaser
- Monkey
- Here Comes Your Man
- Mr. Grieves
- Cactus
- I Bleed
- Vamos

Encore was Caribou

I know I'm probably missing a few. I was hoping we'd get "Is she weird" or "Subbacultcha," but beggars can't be choosers. It was such a religious experience. When everyone knew the words to POS, I knew we had a good audience. Can't wait to do it again!

I'm postive about Cactus and River Euphrates. I specifically remember being pleased that all the guys around me were singing the "ri, ri, ri, ri" with Frank, and the girls with Kim.

I thought I was writing everything down as they played it, but now I'm confused after seeing dayanara's set list recollection ... I missed River Euphrates somehow. Was it part of another song? I vaguely remember it now ... towards the beginning of the set, either before or after I Bleed, I think. And did they play Cactus, too? What's really confusing me is I saw them in Orlando the following night and remember them playing Cactus there.

Unfortunately, DiscLive was not at either show. I hope they do New York!

Here's what I got; anybody who was there who can help clarify things please do!

Like I said... I did read that thread, but I hadn't seen the message that was posted 2 days before the show. So I'll shut the hell up now :)

Yeah, I read that thread... but one can only hope for the best, right? I had assumed that everything had been ironed out after reading the following text from disclive.com "And stay tuned to DiscLive in the coming months... the Pixies fall tour begins in September!"

That's what I get for assuming... booooo

I drove 5 hours from Fernandina Beach just to see this show. I missed my chance to see them about 13 years ago when they played to an over-sold-out crowd at the milk bar. (So over-sold-out that a riot almost broke out and the band had to cut it short and only played a couple of songs). So anyway... there was no way that I was going to miss out on this one.

The pixies live was everything that I'd hoped and dreamed it would be. I couldn't have asked for more.

Joey played drums at this show? That's better than varying the setlist! Did someone tape it? Awesome!

Sorry, just couldn't resist... Welcome aboard!

Hey.. I've been lurking around here for a while, but haven't posted yet. I was at the show in Boca. It was incredible! They sounded like they never broke up. My girlfriend saw them live back in the day when they opened up for U2, and she said that they've only gotten better. Mizner was a really cool place for a show. Frank even said towards the begining, "Nice set up here!" I wasn't right up front, but from where I was I didn't think the crowd was that young. Everyone there seemed pretty cool. I thought that was awesome when David Lovering gave one of Joey's guitar sticks to one lucky fan during "Vamos". He even stopped to talk to him for a minute or two. The guy must have felt like a million bucks after that! I thought the sound could have been louder, but then again, I wasn't right next to the stage, more less in the middle, but still close enough to see everything and how cool frank looked in his sunglasses. During "Planet of Sound" it sounded like Frank tried to use a distortion pedal for his voice during one of his famous screams, but it didn't seem to come out right and he clicked it off and screamed normally.. It still sounded great.. Nobody can scream like him. I was also very happy with their performances of "Head On" and "Here Comes Your Man". I thought Kim's voice was great, but I noticed she played in the shadows with her back to the crowd a lot. I figured that it just helps her keep time by watching Joey play drums or something. I was a little disappointed that they didn't play "I've Been Tired" among many others, but they can only play so many. I hoped they would play more than one encore, but when they closed with "Caribou" it made the show seem complete.
