Looks like we'll still have to wait a little while to see them on ACL but they are scheduled!

luckily, i was able to get in last night. it was amazing, only 250 people there. i can't wait for it to show on tv. they started out with nimrod's son, then went into holiday song and mr grieves. i think winterlong was next, but i don't remember the rest in order. they played in heaven, wave of mutilation (uk surf but not the regular), here comes your man, bone machine, subbacultcha, i bleed, dead, cactus, no 13 baby, debaser, u mass, gouge away, broken face, tame, isla de encanta, hey, monkey gone to heaven, velouria, vamos, gigantic, and where is my mind. i think that seems about right. kim had a huge smile on her face the entire time. they had to start dead. dave's drumstick had gone flying and frank was laughing, so he messed up the beginning. it was a great show, and i'm glad i was able to get in. going to dallas tonight, and stubb's in austin tomorrow. |

Prob. so, Daisy...my memory these days...but they are there and are prob. taping, like you said, on the 18th. Anyway--can't wait to see the show!

Bprend... you may have more of an inside scoop because you're actually there. If you check pixiesmusic.com for the scheule-- there is nothing scheduled for the 18th and they are already in Texas. Here's a link to that. http://www.pixiesmusic.com/live_04.php

I thought they already taped it...I seem to recall reading somewhere that they did so before their gig at the ACL Fest...anybody else remember that?

That doesn't seem likely, given that the Pixies tour ends in December and Frank Black will probably be touring in support of Honeycomb by March. |

Holy shit, I had no idea that this show was shown on every PBS station I thought it was only in Austin. There's some great stuff coming up: the shins, flaming lips, polyphonic spree.

stinks that we'll have to wait that long to see it, but it makes it a nice birthday present for me. i hope i'll be able to get tickets to the taping. also can't believe the shins and the flaming lips don't get their own shows. |
