our store and IE 6 don't work well - try lowering your security levels to low or medium, or try using netscape... that's a common problem (there's a note on the front of the store about it)... new shop in the new year though, so it'll be a thing of the past soon... thank god!

is there a version of TLM on vinyl without the white border? mine has it, and it's an original pressing afaik.

The same happened to me. I tried it on another computer and worked well. Try with a higher IE version.

I have Surfer Rosa and Doolittle on vinyl (the original versions) and much prefer them to the CD versions. I don't know what it is, they just sound way better...
whoreatthedoor Posted - 10/04/2004 : 02:33:00
I've heard "Come on Pilgrim" reissue through my new amp this sunday. Great quality. I've got the original "Bossanova" and isn't as good as this.

It's me or it sounds different to the CD version? I mean, it's obvious it must sound different, but the vinyl seems more focused on bass and drums and vocals sounds lower. I played the same song at the same time changing the amp channel and the difference is quite notable. Any comments?

Oooh, where might I get them in Canada? Vancouver specifically. If not, then elsewhere.

Any chance to hear the B-Sides on vinyl?. It would be awesome!!!
jo Posted - 09/20/2004 : 08:09:21
Bossanova and Trompe Le Monde were never in this first batch of reissues. We've put the first three albums out, and it's possible the others will follow - but don't expect it to be in a couple of months!

I think they will happen - it'll just take a while - we had to regenerate the artwork, the vinyl itself, all of it - it's quite a job...

also, to be fair, when I posted on here about it originally, a few months back, I did say it would only be the first three albums... so it wasn't like anyone wasn't prewarned!
DruggedBunny Posted - 09/17/2004 : 13:30:43
WTF... where are Bossa and Trompe? Is this the Pixies' doing or 4AD's?

Booked all three yesterday. I have to wait for them one or two weeks. Two weeks!!! Ahhhh!!! I'm going crazy.

I have them all on cd, but as I was "transient" then I have them all on cassette, so I think now is the time to buy some vinyl.

I have 'Bossanova' with a lyric booklet....I'm sure that and 'Trompe' will get a re-issue soon.

I scored the reissues of Come on Pilgrim and Doolittle on Wednesday, and Surfer Rosa is being FedEx'ed to me as we speak.

Doolittle in particular sounds really, really good on vinyl.

I can't wait till Surfer Rosa shows up.

....it's funny cuz it's true.

You got almost everything Adam! I have all the LP that I bought some years ago, when they got out.
Adam Posted - 09/16/2004 : 06:29:40
I was able to order COP from a local record shop. I've now got all the albums on LP, that were released on LP, and all the 7s except for Alec. And three live's on LP to boot.

I have Trompe Le Monde on vinyl but never noticed the white border thing. I'll have to check if my copy has it. It's not the original release, it's a '98 reedition.

lucky me has all pixies on vinyl - even the subbacultcha bootleg and aaaall the 45's. would be interesting for how much i could trade them - not that i consider that, but it would just like to know...

but anyways, what do you mean with the white border ?

and really, it seems that some people including the band itself would like to pretend that thhere never was a post-doolitle period...very sad !
