Nah, rumours are where they have always been, in the forum. We have never posted a rumour on the news page, as news or as a rumour. The only thing close are the "official words" which come from our official fb connection. We pretty much post what is said by this source verbatim, which sometimes includes things that are obviously a joke, such as that whole Latvian lullaby thing.
Dave might have some info that I don't, but all the rumours I know of have been discussed in our forums in one way or another.

-> New album already recorded in Minneapolis, slated for early 2005 release
Pixies tour Australia
Pixies to play new material in fall North American tour

It's just abit frustrating at the moment. When they first started touring there was loads of speculation and stuff, but now it has to be hard facts.
