Posted - 06/16/2004 : 15:10:49 noticed something rather interesting on the discography for the "pixies" e.p. that spinart sells...
http://www.spinartrecords.com/site/popups/album.php?a=93
there's now apparantly a _tenth_ track. check between "i'm amazed" and "here comes your man". could this be the mysterious 18th purple tape song?
but i'm more concerned now that i have to buy another copy of "pixies" |

Watch What You're Doin' is indeed the secret song. It's a Larry Norman cover (for those of you who might not know- the Jesus rock dude who coined the line "come on pilgrim you know he loves you", Charles saw him performing at a camp when he was younger, and also his song 666 was covered by Frank Black and the Catholics) I think they either lost or purposefully scrapped this song for the new purple tape release, so the closest you'll probably get to hearing it would be listening to the original version. :(

Posted - 06/23/2004 : 09:43:47 I remember this coming up before when the Pixies demo album came out, an it was firmly established that it was an attempted-html error. Funny that they haven't fixed it. |
