noticed something rather interesting on the discography for the "pixies" e.p. that spinart sells...

http://www.spinartrecords.com/site/popups/album.php?a=93

there's now apparantly a _tenth_ track. check between "i'm amazed" and "here comes your man". could this be the mysterious 18th purple tape song?

but i'm more concerned now that i have to buy another copy of "pixies"

well, i believe it is a misprint because whil watching "gouge" on the dvd they showed the track listings on the album and there was no straightline.........mind boggling

Watch What You're Doin' is indeed the secret song. It's a Larry Norman cover (for those of you who might not know- the Jesus rock dude who coined the line "come on pilgrim you know he loves you", Charles saw him performing at a camp when he was younger, and also his song 666 was covered by Frank Black and the Catholics)
I think they either lost or purposefully scrapped this song
for the new purple tape release, so the closest you'll probably get to hearing it would be listening to the original version. :(

I remember this coming up before when the Pixies demo album came out, an it was firmly established that it was an attempted-html error. Funny that they haven't fixed it.

It's not on my Spinart CD or my Spinart LP.

Hold on, have we decided if this is a type-o? And if not wouldn't the the song play since it is between two songs and not a hidden track?

I read somewhere that Gary Smith still has it under his bed
maybe frank doesn't want to see it released

It's not on the iTunes "release" either, and according to Amazon.com its not on the Spin Art release either.

Gentleman may I suggest that we may have been the victims of a cruel and heartless typographical error...
