I went to my local indie store and they are telling me it's still released next week May 4. In my local Best Buy, their manager said they may not get and item like that for a few weeks. He said they didn't even get the remasters for weeks after their release. Needless to say, I am thoroughly disappointed with not having the DVD today.

Just order it from Amazon.com. They have it in stock.

I don't think we have any of those stores over here. I just checked about 5 more record stores and none of them have it, but one that's right near me said they'll have it by Friday so I guess I'll just wait. It's so aggravating, by-the-way, when you call these places and ask if they have any copies of the Pixies DVD and they say, "The what?" about 5 times and then I say, "It's a music DVD; the Pixies are a band." and then they say, "No." I don't think half of the stores I called even checked because they said no within a matter of seconds.

I grabbed a copy at A&B 'cause I couldn't wait for our cool indie store to get it in "maybe Thursday, Friday, or the beginning of next week". I've heard HMV is carrying it too, though I never go there. Ever.

I can't find a store that has it yet except the indie record store about an hour away (and I don't really want to go that far). Does anyone have any store suggestions besides Best Buy, Circuit City, Borders, and Media Play that might have it.

I got mine from Best Buy, but the strange packaging threw me off. If you haven't seen it, it's actually a thin plastic case like a CD, except tall-like. Plus, the end is orange, not yellow or white like I expected it to be. My Best Buy had 3 copies of it on the shelf, now they have two. Wanted to watch it tonight, but I had too much schoolwork.

I called my local indie store again, an alt location, and they said they would have it by 5pm. Low and behold, they managed to get a few copies and I now have mine!

First Best Buy didn't have it. Was able to pick up the new patti smith record, though.
Then Borders didn't have it. Six copies 'in transit'
But the third times the charm. Looney Tunes, the local indie store, had ONE copy left. I snatched it up. Now I'm gonna go watch it.

Even amazon, thought they say it's in stock, they say it wouldn't arrive until May 6 with 2 Day shipping. What the F--k. I had expected my local indoe store to have it. They did this to me a few weeks ago with the new They Might Be Giants when they didn't get it. Even if a store doesn't realize the date has been pushed up, shouldn't they get it early (today) if it was ordered, though expected next week?

I just got back from picking mine up. I had to call a bunch of places adn it seems that soem stores ahve them today and some will have them next week. I don't think every store knows the release date has been pushed up.
