A club night centred on PIXIES classics is to take place in LONDON to celebrate the legendary band's return to live action after an absence of 12 years.
'Death To The Pixies' takes place on Saturday May 29, the weekend before Black Francis and co. return to UK shores for a four-night, sold-out stint at London Brixton Academy (June 2-5).
The club will run from 9pm-3am at Sahara Nights, Pentonville Road, just two minutes walk from King's Cross St Pancras underground station. It's just £4 to get in, though you can be in with a chance of getting in for just £3 if you mail deathtothepixies2004@yahoo.co.uk ASAP.
Special guest DJs from Beggars/4AD (The Transmissionettes, fresh from their disc-spinning stints at the NME Awards and White Stripes aftershow party) and NME will be playing Pixies favourites throughout the night, as well as other stuff they love.
Early entry is advised - in conjunction with the new 4AD site ilovepixies.com, the first 100 people in will get an I Love Pixies goodie pack and a chance to win the new DVD 'Pixies', which is released through 4AD on May 3.
