All 4 shows, remastered in CD or vinyl.

I actually quite fancy this in a retro 'I was there way', despite picking up the shows at the time.

Impressed with this set, sounds completely fresh. The mix is nothing like the releases at the time - much brighter and clearer. Night 3 is todays favourite - an absolutely ripping Something About You from Charles :)

Turned up today, nice set - CD version comes packaged in 12" book format rather than a small box. Expected a bit more from the photo book. Time to have a listen :)

CD box has slipped again, mid-May now

Saw some news that the Brixton set has been delayed.

Quick interview with Joey and Dave about the Brixton shows. Worth it just for "People are very friendly in London". Lolz.

Meh, new recordings aren't on Spotify and the box is now delayed until March.

The original discs are pretty much monitor mixes with a bit of crowd blended in, mixed live on the night - the discs I got at the time are a really dry mix.
This new set has apparently been freshly mixed & remastered. It's on spotify already but I've not compared them yet.

I can remember very little of the gigs, I know I definitely went the night of the Lovering magic show and think I was on Joey's side but I would have been absolutely baked in those days.
I'm sure we all had good fun!

Fraid not.

I went to London for a week to crash at a mates. He didn't go.

Went for a curry. Then went to the gig. Hung around watching Graham Coxon not realising he was the guitarist from Blur. I thought it was the name of the band - since naming your band after a person was all the rage in those days (eg. Franz Ferdinand). I didn't really enjoy Graham Coxon because I was so eager to see the Pixies, but later I got into his music and now prefer him to Blur.

Smoked a joint with someone in the crowd and had a chat about how great the Pixies are. They came on, rattled through the set and then I went back to my mates flat who turned up shortly after throwing up because he felt ill because he hadn't slept all week because I was crashing on his floor.

Oh.. and someone stole my nice tour t-shirt in 2010.

The Bluefinger era was better.

Actually it was £90 I paid. Even worse. Was it worth it? Probably. Still not as good value as for 3 songs for £5 in 1991 though.
