As much as I love the Pixies, I just can't get enough of the raw power of the Catholics. So real, so in the moment...the first album was recorded in two days. Compare that to the Pixies recording schedule. |

However good, his solo work has always been obscure compared to the Pixies, in the general public

Well, obscure does not mean bad or forgettable. A lot of obscure things are pretty cool. And the fact that few people care about them is even cooler I guess.
But yeah, as MRDutchie said and BF explained before, he's a snake. He's in the moment and not able to visualize or organize the future, including his non-Pixies projects.

I believe that he believes that. Just like he believed he was done with the Pixies forever.
His solo work is too good and too much to forget about. At some point, The Snake will feel his way back.

He also said his solo career was an obscure thing from the past and he's now fully commited to the Pixies.

Thanks pixie punk just listened. Not massively revealing but picked up
- recording at RAK for 2 more weeks
- not mixing straight away, its going back to Bath for that
- rehearsing at the Bikini Club in Toulouse in July
So it might still be a little while before we get some new music
