While Trompe is my favorite, (and I like the drawings) I think Bossanova may have the best artwork, album design.
Bossanova was the 1st Grammy nomination for Vaughan Oliver and the second was for Minotaur.Very cool because the art is directly linked to the lyrics and music.

I wonder if reviews would've been kinder if this had been a Frank Black album with Dave and Joey, or even called something other than Pixies. Or would they had been lambasted for being the Pixies minus one?
While Trompe is my favorite, (and I like the drawings) I think Bossanova may have the best artwork, album design. |
