Yes I also got a slighly unnerved feeling after reading that. But they are doing a lot of interviews and media in the last week, maybe he was just so zonked out he was'nt concentrating on absolute truth. |

Maybe i'm wrong : doesnt some of joey's talk suggests they recorded only 4 songs in 7 weeks? I thought they recorded like 20 songs... Then he says the next recording should be "grungier", suggesting this recording have yet to be made... I 'm confused. Could they keep the 15 Gil Norton songs left in the bag; like Ok lets forget it, people want something rockier? |

Joey is sounding a little frazzled and feisty in these last few Q&A's.
I have to say that I am amazed it never occurred to me that they could have/should have invited PJ Harvey to join the band.
Now that Joey mentions it, the whole notion is so obvious and fucking brilliant that it hurts my brain.
However, talk about dealing with two self-actualized leaders/songwriters in one band!
That said, I am practically giddy at the thought of what Pixies with PJ on bass, vocals and co-arranging could be like.
I wonder if she'd ever say yes if asked?
After all, we know "Polly's into" FBF...

“If we were to do another one I would bet on it that we would do a more, for the lack of a better word, grungier sound. It would be the obvious thing to do after coming out with a slick sounding record.”
I like the sound of this. But that's a big IF, and we haven't even heard half of what they have recorded and it seems like they are over it already. |
