For what it's worth, I saw this item about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and thought I'd pass it along. http://www.salon.com/2012/10/04/the_rock_and_roll_hall_of_fame_overlooks_legends_again/
Basically Public Enemy and N.W.A. made the ballot in their first year of eligibility, while The Pixies--also a member of the class of 1987--have been told to take a walk. Not so sure I agree with how the Rock Hall operates but, frankly, after you've inducted your Little Richards and your Lennons and McCartneys and Hendrixes, it's all kind of academic, right? Who knows, maybe the new album will cement The Pixies' nod next year--the year Nirvana goes in with no questions asked.
