Not to doubt you by any means Helmut but I was sure this was another rumour mill thread about a new album. Now that there has been activity in Wales could this really be happening?
You mentioned something about your friend working at a studio that had the Pixies booked in for 2 weeks in October or something along those lines (apologies if ive got that wrong). Could that mean that FB and Joey were in Wales putting down the album or their parts and coming back to this studio where theyre booked in to wrap things up with Kim and Dave? |

One of "the other two Pixies" mentioned that Charles had been emailing demos/songs to them which they've been listening to at Joeys place in LA and working on parts, chucking around ideas, etc. |

It is becoming an open secret that the sixth album is being worked on right now...whether or not it sees the light of day is another question, but I am hopeful it will and they will tour it. |

If they did a Surfer Rosa tour or even a one-off show, they wouldn't have Gigantic at the end. I like how they extend the ending but I think the whole "good night" thing has run its course. They should play a seven minute Motorway to end the show. |

The Mariachi band has been booked for later this week to lay down some accompaniments. That might seem strange, but it is a concept based on the life and paintings of Remedios Varo. |

They were all in LA recently and Charles was out of contact for three weeks, etc, there were a bunch of clues on their fb status updates. Joey and Dave said they were getting ready to record album number six and they were waiting on the other two to show up. I cbf'ed trawling through their fb pages but I will if I have some time tomorrow...it will be obvious in hindsight. The album will just pop up on itunes in the next few months. |

At this stage, I've almost felt that maybe they should leave it after all. But now that it seems they may finally be working on a new release... well, it'll be interesting to hear how it turns out.
