Here's a 1988 Pixies interview - click on the streaming thingy on the site to listen!
RUHtf - Pixies interview, summer 88 at the Roxy.
This was an interview done upstairs at the Roxy before their show. A
lesson I learned from this interview: load your tape recorder with
new batteries before an interview. Sadly, the batteries were at the
end of their life. Towards the end of the interview, the tape recorded
slow so when it is played back, their voices are really fast. I do think
I got most of the interview. Luckily, with the advent of computer
editing, after digitizing the cassette, I slowed it back down. This was
done with my friend Christa and there was a guy there named Blaze
who was interviewing them for his zine. Later, Blaze was in the band
TVTVs.
