Anyone know anything about the song that they ended up releasing Bam Thwok instead of? All I know is that Frank Black wrote it but Id give one fucking million dollars to hear it. So what do you think, mayeb theyll release it on itunes for a suprise next year or even play it at the last show?

I totally groove to Bam Thwok. It's a teriffic tune.

For the last 7 or 8 years Frank has become increasingly modest about his work. He's also being more democratic with the band. In 1991 the band inevitably would have used Frank's song for the soundtrack submission, but now for the sake of the band's health, I believe Frank is trying to be more diplomatic. Even if he believed the song to be fantastic, I'm guessing he would still say Bam Thwok was better based on the fact the band agreed it was.

I can't remeber which interview it was but it was soon after Bam Thwok came out. He said the Shrek people called asking for a song. He wrote one and Kim wrote one, the band rehearsed them both and Kim's was better.

Am I missing something? Where did Frank talk about such a song?

Didn't he promise us Bravarian folk songs?

Well, Frank does have two new albums in the can. Maybe the unused song evolved into one of those songs.

Well I think us fans would think it was great... hopefully the band give it a chance

I just hope it was false modesty when Frank said it wasn't as good as Bam Thwok. That's not a very ringing endorsement.
