Posted - 08/28/2006 : 01:08:05 And the best (or better yet, most consensual) song from FMRM-disc 1, who wins a record deal with Universal and a date with Hillary Duff, is "If Your Poison Gets You". For the record, the songs were voted off in that order:
12 I'm Not Dead (I'm In Pittsburgh) 05 Dirty Old Town 09 The End of the Summer 11 When The Paint Grows Darker Still 04 You Can't Crucify Yourself 13 Golden Shore 06 Wanderlust 07 Seven Days 03 Fast Man 08 Raider Man 10 Dog Sleep 02 Johnny Barleycorn
If you want my opinion, the first 2 tracks were eliminated way too early, but it's not as if it were of any importance. In a couple of days I'll start the new survivor for disc 2. That one is much more exciting to me.

Posted - 08/30/2006 : 06:37:17 The poll program we have only allows 7 options, so 6 + other. I agree, I'd like to put the whole disc on there.

Posted - 08/30/2006 : 00:20:48 Great idea, I had been thinking of that too.
(by the way, why 6? would that be because you wanted 7 days to win? Maybe putting the whole 13 songs would be better, if that's possible. Plus it would allow me to vote for Wanderlust...)

Posted - 08/29/2006 : 09:40:47 I'm gonna put the top 6 songs as voted here into a new poll to see how it turns out outside the Survivor atmosphere.

Posted - 08/29/2006 : 07:18:29 Only thing is, sometimes there'll ony be one or two votes posted over a few days. Then again, I suppose people can't complain if they didn't make the effort to get there votes in on time.

Posted - 08/29/2006 : 00:34:35 In my defense, I never purposely made a round last longer to get a specific song eliminated. What I'm trying to do is to wait until we get a number of votes that is significative enough. 20 is a minimum except when the result is obvious, ie everyone voting off Crucify. When the results are close though, I try to have at least a 2 votes difference between the first 2 songs. That's the general idea. So if you agree what we'll do now is have at least 20 votes and not more than 5 days for each round. Does that sound fair?

Posted - 08/28/2006 : 19:56:39 I would like to make a suggestion for the next survivor if I may. It seems to me that some of the rounds lasted MUCH longer than others. I can completely understand vilainde being busy and not always being able to get to a computer, count votes, and start a new round in a timely manner. Sometimes the outcomes seem a little unfair, like one song is going to be voted off for sure, but if you wait long enough for enough other votes, it can change to another song being voted off. I would suggest setting a specified limit for the voting period, like, say, three days after the round begins. That way vilainde can start the next round whenever he so desires, but votes done after the three day limit won't be counted. Does this sound like a good idea to anyone besides myself?
