Sorry I missed your question before Rita!
I meant you are a designer, and that you have an interesting way of speaking (you speak in a very poetic fashion, which for me is hard to understand sometimes and so enigmatic, or a riddle).
The first part was a play on words using American sayings, so I can see why it was hard to decipher.
Having designs on someone or something = you are obsessed with or interested in them, and are making plans to get them or get to them. In this case you would be trying to see Frank in concert, having him play a private party in your house, or conspiring to keep him in your attic, etc. 
That sentence also implied that you are an artistic designer, but you are not the Frank-related architect/designer David Vincent ("Bad, Wicked World") or Alec Eiffel. Just another clue that you were a real designer.
Sorry if that was too explicit an explanation, but I know I wouldn't be able to figure out a riddle in Portuguese!  |
