I was listening to the version of 'Motorway to Roswell' that was from the FTP ('Rough Diamonds' boot?). It's incredible!

I hear Joey's brother joined the band onstage for several songs? Which were they?

charles was still playing
altough I read an interview with Kim where she said that the extra guitarist
was supposed to take over charles' parts and that charles would be a singer like nick cave

Yeh, I'd heard he joined them for acoustic numbers... but Charles was still playing guitar I suppose?

It seems that the latter albums are all but ignored not necessarily becuause the songs would be too hard to recreate, but because Charles thinks that the earlier material is more popular.
It's strange thinking of them as a six piece band.

"Bob played an acoustic on the tour"

I just got a Trompe Le Monde tour programme booklet thing the other day which is pretty cool, some real nice photos and other bits of trivia, looks really nice though..

on the dublin trompe date frank introduces bob, which he didn't do on the other england/ireland dates - that i have heard anyway.... "Pardon me for being so rude! this is Bob, who is the brother of JOE (screamed)! - B-O-B! (and he really fuckin' screams it) and then in comes the initial screech guitar sound from POS (listen to a live version - it sounds like an angry elephant, seriously! listen to it).. so i always thought it was bob making that sound on an electric because that sound comes in just after he screams his name, but it had to have been joe because from what i have seen, Bob played an acoustic on the tour

Joey's brother joined the band not only for Trompe songs but also Vamos , The holiday song , Monckey gone to Heaven ...

Might explain why so little of the album is being played on this tour.
