I'm officially starting a rumor that the Pixies will record a cover of Donovan's "Season of the Witch." It's not true, just wishful thinking. Kim should lead on the verses, with Charles belting out the "must be the season of the witch" choruses.
As a side-note: anyone ever notice how the fast, pounding ending of Season of the Witch sounds kind of like the Velvet Underground's "I'm Waiting for the Man"? |

I'm trying to get my band to cover Sunshine Superman - but more like the Hüsker Dü version than the original. Not sure they'll want to do it though cause they have shitty tastes in music.

Frank covers Donovan on the B-side to the St Francis Dam Disaster Single, think it's called 'Sleep'. A cover of 'Season of the Witch' would be amazing though. What about 'Hurdy Gurdy Man', that would be truly weird! |

Have you seen the episode of The Adam and Joe Show (great UK TV show) with FB on 'Vinyl Justice'? One of the funniest things I've seen. This reminded me of the bit where they're all singing and playing along with 'There is a Mountain' - so technically I guess FB has covered Donovan before....

Donovan is brilliant. I know that Frank's a fan. If there is ever a Donovan tribute album I bet they just might record a cover.
