hello every british Pixies fan. i was excited to hear that channel four would be covering the V festival last weekend as i couldnt go to it. On the Tv times it sayed that the pixies bit would be shown on Sunday which was good news for me as i had to go out on saturday night. However i watched the sunday show to discover the did not play the pixies at all!! instead i had to watch N.E.R.D and the thrills!!?!? i hate the thrills.
I was just wondering if anyone watched the saturday or friday shows and did they play the pixies on them? if they did im gonna write a rude letter to tv times. lol.

I didn't catch any of the V footage, but they showed three songs on BBC 3 when T in the PArk was going on.

rub it in why don't you

boo hoo hoo

I don't mean to sound bitter, cold, or cruel, but I am, so that's how it comes out.

that may be a similar thing to the heavy handed approach to pictures being took in venues as well, maybe?

Why don’t you learn to tune your damn guitar?”

Reminds me of that show on French TV (French-German TV actually - the thing was hosted by Ray Cokes and some German chick) that I saw a few weeks ago... They showed abstracts of some festival in Germany and repeatedly announced the Pixies... Finally, during the show, Cokes just said "Well everybody here's been awfully nice to us except the Pixies and PJ Harvey, who were the only ones who refused to give interviews." And they went on to play ONE PJ Harvey song and NO Pixies at all. Instead we got LOADS of Placebo, some Franz Ferdinand, BRMC pretending to give an interview while hiding behind their hair, more Placebo, one Bowie song, Graham Coxon being obnoxious... and a few local acts. I gave up when something that apparently aspired to be the German answer to the Beastie Boys came up.

It's doing my nut, my friend texted me from wales, he has S4C to tell me the pixies and the strokes were on, I switched over and saw N bloody E twatting R shitty D and waited happily and NO PIXIES! WTF! We figured there was a time difference but to leave the greatest reunion ever off the show after advertising it is just BLOODY RUDE

I don't mean to sound bitter, cold, or cruel, but I am, so that's how it comes out.

.....just said in another thread, I waited up till 1am......typical EH!!!!

Must have been sommething to do with the rights.........the Friday show said they'd be shown on the main progammes (Advertised as Sunday in Radio Times)

Was just about to check the video I recorded to see if they were on - in the adverts for the C4 / E4 coverage it said that they would be showing some Pixies stuff! Has there been a problem with rights or anything or is it just pants coverage? It seems odd to leave a co-headliner out.....
