This is probably a silly thread, but who cares, really.
T.V. puts on "Pulp Fiction" yesterday (Spanish translation: Obvious, I'm spanish). And you know when Bruce tooks Zed's bike and rans to pick up Maria de Medeiros. She says something like "Who is Zed?". Then, Bruce says something like: "Zed is dead, baby". And here comes my question: Is this sentence a popular american joke or whatever?

If you look in the background of that scene, upstairs in the pawnshop (where Bruce Willis selects his weapon), there's a Killian's Red sign where the only letters that are lit are K I L L E D, so it says "kill ed." (Ed is dead). Then, there's a close-up of Bruce Willis holding Zed's keys, with the big Z on the keychain. Put that Z into the sign and it reads, "Kill Zed."
Zed is dead.
Ed is dead.
