Posted - 07/03/2004 : 14:07:33 I was trying to organize by Pixies bootlegs today. I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what to do with my copy of Velouria Live. First of all, it's recorded poorly with the 2 seconds gaps. In addition, I can't tell if it has anything that I don't already have. As far as I can tell, it's some stuff from the cabaret Metro show in 1989, which is also on Transatlantic, and the September 25, 1990 show in Holland (although it claims it's from 1991). The Holland show, as far as I can tell, is the same one from the Death to the Pixies 2 CD set.
Am I correct in all of my assumptions here? Is it just a worse recording of stuff I already have? |

Posted - 07/05/2004 : 03:15:00 yeah the songs on the boot are available on other boots as well and the dttp live disc. however, you might like to keep it cause it's got velouria from the dttp show, but the actual dttp disc doesn't....

Posted - 07/03/2004 : 16:56:04 Is the actual quality poor? I was referring more to the 2 second gaps that I've got because the person I bought it from didn't know how to burn CDs properly. I only ever made it through one song. When I heard the gap at the end, I checked to see if it was the same with the other tracks. Since then, the disc hasn't left the case for about 6 or 7 years. |
