Has anyone else noticed the similarities between man being 5, the devil being 6, and God being 7 and the track order on Doolittle?
Track 5 - Here Comes Your MAN
Track 6 - Dead: A song about King David giving in to his evil temptations, and having a man killed in the process
Track 7 - Monkey Gone to HEAVEN, where God lives

Monkey Gone To Heaven plays on Hebrew scriptures - Man is 5, the Devil is 6, and God is 7.
" It's a reference from what I understand to be Hebrew numerology, and I don't know a lot about it or any of it really. I just remember someone telling me of the supposed fact that in the Hebrew language, especially in the Bible, you can find lots of references to man in the 5th and Satan in the 6th and God in the 7th. I don't know if there is a spiritual hierarchy or not. But it's a neat little fact, if it is a fact. I didn't go to the library and figure it out. " |

few posts, but many hours spent reading. i've checked the boards almost daily for close to two years now, but i just never post. what do you call them? lurkers? ...you can learn a lot about people by reading their posts every day for that long... lots of people here have great insights and make me enjoy fb more and more. |

For me, 5, 6, and 7 are how loud you should listen to music. 5 is man. 6 is louder like the Devil, God is 7 like good music, and anything after 7 is meant to make you deaf

You might have something there, TarTar. It's kind of a stretch to associate "Dead" with the Devil, though, I think. If that had been what they were going for, they probably would have made "Hey" Track 6, since that mentions the Devil (or A devil, anyway) specifically.
Speaking of the numbers, I've always wondered why "No. 13 Baby" isn't Track 13.

yes well charles was heavily influenced by the bible when his family
became religious as a teen....poor guy!
i guess he developed the whole 567/man, devil, god idea from there
