Love those Magnetic Fields... have the 69 Love Songs box set and it is just incredible to listen to. Repeatedly. Have a lot of favorite tunes from that set.

Have you mebbe heard of Lacuna Coil? They're purty good too. They kind of have that swirling sound with better than average lyrics going on...

I dunno... there has been a lot of great music into the 90's and 00's. Bands such as Sebadoh, Shellac, The Shins, liking this whole Probot thing, Magnetic Fields, Mercury Rev, pretty much anything related to Bob Mould... sometimes they just aren't as easy to find. But there is some interesting music being made out there. Kind of liking My Morning Jacket a pretty fair amount too. Beastie Boys, Eminem... etc.

Yeah i wish i was older in the 80's then i was so that i could experience the decade alot more. Every one hates the 80's but i think it was one of the better decades. I mean i actually like alot of the pop 80's songs that were released in that time, and totally hate all the pop junk thats being released now. Its just not the same and really poorly done now. The 90's were ok and so far the 2000's has just been a big waste of time in terms of music. Nothing Good thank god the pixies are back.

Heck... I'm not sure what Bam Thwok feels like. Downloaded it thanks to the tip from all of ya'll... and I guess mebbe I'm just still feeling strange that there is actually a new Pixies song to hear at all. I had resigned myself to a new Pixies-less existence. Just goes to show that you just never can tell what will happen on this globe of ours.

Mebbe I should listen to it again and try to decide what I think of it. Right now.

Feels like the eighties? Because it lowers taxes for the rich and increases government spending?
