Digital heathens. Get SF on vinyl, it makes Albini's production sound even filthier....

yeh, i guess that was mentioned.

Jesus was a sailor, when we walked upon the water.
Mad Lucas Posted - 05/27/2004 : 22:24:35
I would call it Vamos intro, just because you can hear FB playing the Vamos part in the background, almost like he's warming up for the song

Jesus was a sailor, when we walked upon the water.

PixieSteve Posted - 05/18/2004 : 06:23:11
vamos intro is also a fitting name because you can jsut about hear some of the bass notes in vamos being played.
charlesthompson Posted - 05/18/2004 : 06:04:34
well, the japanese do know about these dont they.
i mean who would have thought of accually telling
people that theres a mistake so that they know which
songs they are enjoying! genious!
brickisred Posted - 05/17/2004 : 11:24:19
Exactly. The corrected tracklisting appears on the back cover.
charlesthompson Posted - 05/17/2004 : 08:53:10
cool, they noticed and corrected the cover?
brickisred Posted - 05/17/2004 : 08:28:46

The Japanese version has 22 tracks and the extra one is titled "Speech".

When I loaded it into my iTunes it grabbed "You Fuckin Die" as a track listing from Grace Notes, which I thought was pretty cool (but then I love it when my computer swears...)

My head was feeling scared, but my heart was feeling free

In 1995.
But all my friends have one with 21 tracks. They must have bought it around the same time.
charlesthompson Posted - 05/16/2004 : 10:12:45
:) oh well...i supose life would get boring without change...
Stevio10 Posted - 05/16/2004 : 09:58:30
the cd with 21 tracks used to be in a great jukebox in a bar i visit. It would be frustrating putting on the wrong tunes! But hey not disastrous, its still the pixies. Then they went and changed it so it was in order and by the time i was getting used to it, i had to revert to the standard way! Ah well, people keeping you on their toes eh :)
charlesthompson Posted - 05/16/2004 : 04:18:59
well, when did you buy it?
i got mine ages back....."you fuckin' die"?
sounds good to me. but whenever i listen to
that cd in the car and my parents are with me they
start tutting and raving about youth these days...that is
until i point out that the pixies were like 13 years ago.
i kind of find it pretty pointless....when i first found
out about the pixies i got this cd and spent ages trying
to find out which track got pushed forward so that i knew which
songs i like most!!
The Holiday Son Posted - 05/16/2004 : 01:40:52
I have the SR+COP CD and mine has 21 tracks for sure.
And I've never seen one with 22.

iTunes named the track "Vamos Intro" for me, but I promptly renamed it to "You Fuckin' Die!"
rockmusic84 Posted - 05/15/2004 : 19:17:29
Definitely "You FUCKIN' DIE!!!". On the CDDB, it is listed as "Dialogue track", or something to that effect.

One of those "automatic connect to internet and check the tracklisting when you're about to burn a CD"-thingies lists it as "interlude". I'd probably call it "You fuckin' die!" just like Ziggy (^above). it's definately not a mistake. but it was corrected for the re-issues, huh? strange... I 'spose
prozacrat Posted - 05/15/2004 : 14:44:12
I've seen that track, on some different internet CD stores (CDnow.com, etc.) list it as "Vamos Intro," which seems like an appropriate title, since it leads quite nicely into Vamos. Meh. My two cents.
jo Posted - 05/15/2004 : 14:07:45
I'm pretty sure our backcat person consciously made sure this was corrected for the US reissues last year...
billgoodman Posted - 05/15/2004 : 12:53:18
there are actually cds that mention you fuckin'die in their tracklist

all the cd's that have both COP and SR have this.
much like on the SR-only cd, there are more tracks than listed.
