Anyone else noticed that the new Distillers song sounds like Hey about half way in? I was at work and noticed the bass line is exactly the same and that brody chick is shouting something that either is, or resembles, the word "hey". Im not really a fan but seems like a nice little tribute.

'Hall Of Mirrors' is my favourite!!!

Hansel and Gretel have formed a band, .....And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Breadcrumbs!!!

The Distillers don't sound anything like Green Day. or the Pixies !
I hope the band gets some media on the new stuff.
Its still pretty dark lyric's for main stream.
I really like Drain the blood off of Coral Fang.
If Brody had the backing of Cortney Love we would
have a new Queen of puck.
Cortney sucks long live BRODY !
Ha ha I kill my self, but the Distillers are great!

I think the bulk of "the hunger" actually sounds very similar to "whirlwind reaper" by Sahara Hotnights, which in turn is very similar to "let you go" by the Sunnyboys, if anyone has ever heard either track before?

Well before I'd heard this new song, to me they sounded rather Green Day-ish.
I guess they've matured.

I dont hear the similarities at all to the song "hey" -sounds more like learning to fly by foo fighters-just for your knowledge gil norton produced it

Never heard of this band, but I like this song...
So the older stuff is Green Day-like?
This one sounds a little like Hole, between Live through this and Celebrity skin

Any Distillers-fans around here?
Which album is best to start exploring the sounds of this band?

Heh, well, at least they've moved away from their horrible female Green Day sound.

(To try to make up for this lapse i'll put in a good word about the Detroit Cobras...i know its off topic on a not very 'on' topic in the first place, my fault i know (sorry!). Theyre a band with a female singer worth checking out if you havent already. Thanks for listening!)

well listened to it a couple of times... hate the song, i can kind of see where you're coming from, but unforunately i hated the song too much and it reminded me of hole so much, who i also hate with a passion, i couldn't really concentrate on anything in it... how much do they suck!
