i heard mention of this forum on a seattle radio station this mornin'. i am sure the moderators will be happy to hear that. they said FB.net is THE ultimate site for the obsessed fan.

I see why I don't come over all that much anymore.. hehe I've no idea why there's this negative attitude towards pixiesmusic, especially when some of the negative people visit pretty regularly. We're all the same community of fans guys.
As for some of the comments, I will touch on those.

What makes you think this is the only source of Pixies information available? I have regular contacts in the Pixies organization, as well as Billboard, Reuters/AP, NME, the William Morris Agency, Clear Channel, concert promoters, Ticketmaster, and record labels.

Pitchfork mistakenly called pixiesmusic the offical site. Once. We've never alluded to being the official pixies site, and we've actually taken extensive measures to ensure the press knows we are not. I do not have the time to track down every Czech blog site to correct them on the matter, if you feel the need to do so, by all means go right ahead.
I honestly do not understand why some people feels there is some sort of competition between FB.net and PM.com. Dave and I email regularly, there is no animosity or rivalry between us. I guess if you still feel the need to put pixiesmusic down, go for it. Just ask yourself why you feel the need to do so, and I think you'll start realizing that it's pretty childish! :)

you can listen to the radio broadcast live if you go to their homepage. in terms of listening to archived music, you can do that too. but i believe that that applies only to songs, not remarks between songs. for instance, under Archived Audio, you can go to Streaming Archive and "Listen By Time" (the link above gives the exact date and time the radio station played Two Reelers and mentioned FB.net). i was in my car when i heard Two Reelers.....talked about how the Pixies tour was underway and the feedback posted on FB.net. i can't remember exactly and my computer at work doesn't support listening to streaming archive. hope this helps!

Hey brickisred,we're both on the same page.It's Carlos from Alec Eiffel's Spanish section.I think only Jean Michel knew my alias in FB.net.But yeah I remember the humble begginings of Alec Eiffel,I'm very glad I contribute to the page for the benefit of FB and Pixie fans all over the world who only speak Spanish. |

pixie punk, thanks for the nice words on Alec Eiffel.
There was a time when our page was nearly the sole provider of Pixies-related information to the (few) fans out there. I remember that when we started it, you could not find more than a couple of Pixies pics on the Internet!
It is nice that this is not the case anymore, and that a site like frankblack.net is so dynamic. |

That's so cool! Did they mention pixiesmusic or bailey's walk? Cause though this is offically a FB board, it also happens to be the best pixies board as well, and kind of puts the others to shame. |
